IDIOM Document Generator
The IDIOM Document Generator is a tool to collect and collate Word document templates and other associated text fragments (called blurbs), and to assemble these into complete documents under the control of a decision model.
A schema defined XML document is auto-generated by the Document Generator - this XML document lists all of the blurbs required for a new output business document, and any variables highlighted within them. The actual insertion of each blurb into the output business document is then triggered by a decision model on a case by case basis.
The decision model also populates all of the variables named in the text, which are thensubstituted into the output business document after the required blurbs have been injected into it. By using a full library of blurbs and the full range of variables that are available in the business context, large and complex documents can be generated automatically under the control of decision models to reflect the exact circumstances of the underlying business record.
The Document Generator also allows for insertion of images and for calling bespoke programs to insert additional text or images.
